邓洪平：博士、教授、博士生导师；重庆市野生动植物保护协会会长，重庆市植物学会名誉理事长、重庆市生态文明与环境教育分会理事长、中国植物学会理事。教育部师范类专业认证专家、组长；重庆市林业“生物多样性保护”专家团队首席专家，重庆市生态环境咨询专家委员会委员，重庆市大学生绿色创新学习实践活动专家指导委员会委员，西南大学名师。

研究领域：长期从事保护生物学、植物系统学、植物生态学等学科领域的教学科研工作。对于中国西南部尤其是重庆及长江流域和秦巴山区生物多样性保护和利用、植物系统演化、濒危植物的濒危机理、生态环境保护与修复、自然保护地建设管理与评价、珍贵资源植物保护开发与利用和植物入侵机理及防治对策等方面有深入研究。
科研项目：先后主持完成国际合作、国家级、省部级及地方应用项目190余项，代表项目有《长江上游国家重点野生濒危植物保护研究》《成渝双城经济圈共保护重点野生植物保护研究》《建立以国家公园为主体的重庆市自然保护地新体系》《重庆市自然保护地生态保护与修复应用示范》《重庆市自然保护地生物多样性研究》《三峡库区消落带生态修复应用示范》《重庆市生态环境大数据平台构建与应用示范》等。先后主持起草制定《重庆市自然保护区发展规划》《重庆市重点保护野生植物名录》《重庆市自然保护地优化整合指导意见》《重庆市区县高等植物调查评价技术规范》《建设项目涉及重庆市湿地公园生态影响评价指南》等地方标准。
研究成果：先后在《Microbiology Spectrum》、《Frontiers in Microbiology》、《Land Degradation Development》、《BMC Biology》《Plants》、《Diversity》、《American Journal of Plant Sciences》《Microorganisms》、《Microbiological Research》、《Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy》、《International Journal of Molecular Sciences》、《Spectroscopy Letters》、《Phytotaxa》、《Nordic Journal of Botany》、《植物学报》、《生态学报》等重要核心期刊发表论文200余篇；发表多个植物新种，如巫溪虾脊兰、巫溪铁线莲、白沙凤仙花、林芝球兰等。
著作及荣誉：先后在科学出版社等单位出版《重庆大巴山国家级自然保护区生物多样性》、《重庆缙云山国家级自然保护区植物多样性研究》、《重庆珍稀濒危代表物种保护现状及对策研究》等专著及《植物学》、《植物学实验教程》《生物多样性综合实习教程》等教材10余部。先后获重庆市自然科学奖三等奖、重庆市科学技术奖三等奖、重庆市教学成果二等奖、三等奖、西南大学教改成果奖一等奖等奖励及“西南大学名师”、“重庆市雏鹰计划优秀指导教师”等荣誉。

Hongping Deng- doctor, professor, doctoral supervisor; president of Chongqing Wildlife Conservation Association; honorary president of Chongqing Botanical Society; president of Chongqing Ecological Civilization and Environmental Education Association; and committee member of China Botanical Society; certification expert and group leader of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for teacher majors; chief expert of Expert Team of Chongqing Forestry "Biodiversity Conservation"; member of Expert Committee of Chongqing Ecological Environment Advisory; member of Expert Steering Committee of Learning and Practicing of Chongqing University Students' Green Innovation; and famous teacher of Southwest University.
Research Field: conservation and utilization of biodiversity, plant system evolution, endangered mechanism of endangered plants, protection and restoration of ecological environment, construction management and evaluation of natural reserves, protection, development and utilization of precious resource plants, mechanism and prevention countermeasures of plant invasions in Southwest China, especially in Chongqing, Yangtze River Basin and Qinling-Dabashan Mountains.
Project Introduction: More than 190 international cooperation, national, provincial and local application projects have been presided over and completed. Representative projects include (1) Research on the Conservation of National Key Wild and Endangered Plants in the Upper Reaches of the Yangtze River; (2) Research on the Conservation of Key Wild Plants under the Joint Protection of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle; (3) Establishment of a New System of Natural Reserves in Chongqing with National Parks as the Main Body; (4) Application Demonstration of Ecological Protection and Restoration of Natural Reserves in Chongqing; (5) Research on Biodiversity of Natural Reserves in Chongqing; (6) Application Demonstration of Ecological Restoration of Water Level Fluctuation Zone of the Three Gorges Reservoir; and (7) Construction and Application Demonstration of Big Data Platform of Chongqing Ecological Environment, etc.
Local Standards Participating: (1) the Development Plan of Natural Reserves in Chongqing; (2) the Directory of Key Protected Wild Plants in Chongqing; (3) the Guiding Opinions on the Optimization and Integration of Protected Areas in Chongqing; (4) the Technical Specifications for the Investigation and Evaluation of Higher Plants in the county of Chongqing; and (5) the Guidelines for the Evaluation of the Ecological Impact of Construction Projects Involving Wetland Parks in Chongqing.
Academic Papers: More than 200 papers have been published in important core journals, such as Microbiology Spectrum, Frontiers in Microbiology, Land Degradation Development, BMC Biology, Plants, Diversity, American Journal of Plant Sciences, Microorganisms, Microbiological Research, Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Spectroscopy Letters, Phytotaxa, Nordic Journal of Botany, Bulletin of Botany, and Acta Ecologica Sinica, etc. And many new species of plants have also been published, such as Calanthe wuxiensis, Clematis wuxiensis, Impatiens baishaensis, Hoya nyingchiensis, etc.
Monographs and Textbooks: More than 10 monographs and textbooks have been published in the Science Press and other units, such as (1) Biodiversity of Chongqing Daba Mountains National Nature Reserve; (2) Research on Plant Diversity of Chongqing Jinyun Mountains National Nature Reserve; (3) Research on the Conservation Status and Countermeasures of Rare and Endangered Representative Species in Chongqing; (4) Botany; (5) Experimental Course of Botany; and (6) Comprehensive Practice Course of Biodiversity, etc.
Honors Obtained: the third prize of Chongqing Natural Science Award, the third prize of Chongqing Science and Technology Award, the second and third prize of Chongqing Teaching Achievement Award, the first prize of Teaching Reform Achievement Award of Southwest University, "famous teacher of Southwest University", "excellent supervisors of Chongqing Young Eagle Program".
